Jellyfish and their whimsical movements underwater have always intrigued me. I paired this carving with lapis lazuli to represent their life out at sea, a deep blue with golden flecks like sunlight reflecting off the water.

While jellyfish are able to propel themselves with their bell-shaped top, their course is driven by the currents and flow of the tides. This hand-carved frame and jellyfish are cast in warm 14k gold and provide a high contrast to the deep blue lapis lazuli background, while swinging free from a diamond studded bubbly bail.
